About

The Georgetown Environmental Justice Program (GEJP) was born of an intuition. At its core, a sustainable ecological transition must have social justice that is science-basedglobally inspired, and locally enacted.

To advance just pathways to a sustainable future, we collaborate with our partners across the world to integrate the potential impacts of climate change, increasing inequalities, financial instability, and resource depletion to guide mitigation and adaptation action and to minimize the impact on marginalized populations.

With this work, we get our hands dirty. Responding to the scientific and moral urgency of tackling environmental challenges, GEJP accelerates past contributing research results to contributing research-based tools customized for real-world application by our partners. Working together with governments, businesses, and communities from around the globe, we tailor-fit our toolkit and training to each partner’s local context to co-vision our path forward.
